Location:
Mustique Island, Caribbean

Client:

Type of Work:
Supply and installation of a padel court resistant to Category 5 hurricanes

The Mustique Island project was an ambitious and complex endeavor, marked by three major challenges:

  • Complicated transport: Materials had to be shipped to a nearby island and then transferred by barge to reach the final destination, requiring flawless logistics planning.
  • Limited accessibility: Once unloaded, the materials had to be transported along a 100-meter incline through a wooded area designated for the installation.
  • Lack of local resources: With no hardware stores or supply shops on the island, meticulous planning was essential to avoid issues with missing tools or materials.

Favaretti tackled these challenges with an innovative and flexible approach, ensuring the project’s success:

  • Hurricane-resistant design: The court was engineered to withstand the extreme Caribbean conditions, ensuring top performance and durability even in severe weather events.
  • Tailored logistics: Every stage of transport was carefully coordinated, from the barge transfer to overcoming the steep path on the island.
  • Self-sufficient operations: The team operated in full autonomy with a fully equipped container, allowing smooth installation without interruptions.
