Project:
Development of the largest padel center in Europe

Location:
Turin, Italy

Client:
Padel Life

Type of Work:
Installation of 11 covered courts with insulated panel roofing

The Padel Life Torino project stands out as a massive undertaking, set to become a benchmark for padel in Europe. However, its realization involved significant technical and logistical challenges:

  • Unprecedented dimensions: Designing a unique +45m clear-span structure to house 11 panoramic padel courts required an extraordinary engineering effort to ensure functionality, aesthetics, and durability.
  • Complex logistics: The transport of materials involved over 40 articulated lorries, carrying a total of 150,000 kg of steel and other components, all scheduled to meet tight delivery deadlines.
  • Intensive metalwork: The construction and hot-dip galvanization of structural components was a meticulous and time-consuming process essential for ensuring long-lasting quality and resistance.

Favaretti successfully tackled every aspect of this challenge, completing the project with meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to innovation:

  • Insulated panel roofing: The custom-designed cover ensures optimal thermal insulation, providing energy savings and a comfortable playing environment year-round.
  • High-quality engineering: Over 500 workdays were dedicated to fabricating the structural components, which were then hot-dip galvanized for optimal corrosion resistance.
  • Lighting and sustainability: The structure features a professional lighting system delivering up to 750 lux at ground level, ideal for international-level events. Additionally, it is prepped for photovoltaic panel integration, promoting a sustainable, low-impact approach.
